Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

An excellent opportunity for a creative and organised digital professional to play a key role in delivering our communications and marketing activity.

FIS is a leading trade association servicing the fit-out and finishing sub-sector of construction. We are seeking a creative and data-driven Digital and Social Media Executive to support and deliver our online marketing strategy.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for FIS social media channels and maintaining our websites, creating and publishing content that informs, supports, and connects with our audience, as well as contributing to wider digital campaigns that promote the work of FIS. The role requires a balance of creativity and analytical thinking, with a focus on continuous improvement based on performance insights to understand and drive impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining the FIS websites, ensuring that content is accurate, up to date and reflective of our priorities.
  • Uploading and managing news articles, resources and campaign content and supporting ongoing improvements to user experience and search engine optimisation.
  • Overseeing day-to-day activity across our social media channels, creating and scheduling content, engaging with followers, and monitoring conversations within the sector.
  • The development and delivery of digital campaigns, working closely with colleagues to promote events, initiatives, and member services.
  • Monitoring performance using tools such as Google Analytics and platform insights to evaluate engagement, website traffic, and campaign effectiveness, and using this data to inform future activity.

Content creation will sit at the heart of the role, requiring the production of clear, engaging, and accessible material. This may include written content, basic graphics, and short-form video.

Essential skills

  • 1-3 years' experience working in a similar digital marketing role.

  • Experience using video editing software, graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) and AI-assisted creation.
  • Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable, data-driven improvements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  • Good time management skills with a strong ability to prioritise workload.
