After seven years of faithful and dedicated service to Finham Park School, our current EWO is moving on to a new and exciting opportunity. This leaves a rare opportunity for a new, suitably qualified and experienced individual to take on a pivotal support staff role within the school. Attendance at Finham Park is consistently strong, with levels typically 2% above national and regional averages. The rates of persistent and severe absence are also significantly below the national average. However, there is still plenty of work to be done.
The successful candidate will help lead an invigorated attendance strategy that places families at the heart of the approach, while making effective use of data and intelligent analysis. They will work directly with our highly experienced senior team, particularly the deputy headteacher, to help determine and guide the whole school strategy. Our goal is to see year‑on‑year progress in attendance through careful tracking, intelligent curriculum design, staff training and ultimately by creating a school environment which young people wish to be part of.
A strong understanding of inclusion is essential, and the successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the barriers that young people can face and have a plethora of proven strategies to help address these. In order to realise the impact of these, we are looking for a candidate that is able to quickly build strong relationships with all stakeholders.
If you are passionate about making a profound difference, enjoy being part of a dynamic and forward thinking team, and want to play a key role in taking our already successful school forwards, we would be delighted to hear from you.
