Fingleton White provides multidiscipline engineering services for the energy industry, offering a full range of design, construction and commissioning services across Renewables, Gas Networks, Water, Energy & Utilities, and Asset Management. The company plans and develops significant projects in the energy sector in Ireland, operating from eight offices across Ireland, Northern Ireland and England with over 200 staff.
Location: Hemel Hempstead office.
Responsibilities
- Design & Project Coordination from conceptual phase through to project completion in the Gas network sector, including New build AGI and PRI, Capacity Upgrades, Renewable Gas (Biogas, Biomethane and Hydrogen), Tx/Dx Pipelines, pipeline Diversions and upgrade works across gas distribution networks.
- Innovation and Development projects in Hydrogen and Biomethane.
- Work within a design team including Mechanical, Civil, E&I, CP and drafting members.
- Develop Design Drawings and specifications, and produce Conceptual, Preliminary and Detailed Design Reports.
- Conduct surveying of natural gas installations.
- Liaise with local authorities, clients and other stakeholders.
- Present design solutions to clients.
- Perform Hazardous Area Classification & ATEX Assessments.
- Attend and participate in HAZID/ HAZOP and LOPA studies.
Requirements
- Engineering degree (Bachelor Honours degree or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- 4+ years post‐graduate experience.
- Experience in the Gas Industry.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Good academic record.
- Full clean driving licence and own transport required.
- Fluent written and spoken English essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
