Position
The Role….
We are looking to recruit a Design Lead to join our Water design team. The successful candidate will join a growing team, with opportunity to shape the direction of an expanding business to meet the challenges of the AMP8 programme, as well as strategic development for AMP9 and beyond.
The Design Lead will have a client facing role. An example of some of the responsibilities for the role as the business needs require are as follows:
- Responsible for overall technical and financial delivery of projects (including wastewater treatment, clean water treatment, industrial wastewater treatment, and biosolids treatment)
- Ensuring projects are delivered to time, quality, and budget
- Leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers, based in multiple locations
- Development of proposals to clients, including prices and programmes
- Financial management of projects, including client invoicing, and management of early warnings and change events
The Design Lead will have the opportunity to progress their career within Fingleton White to be involved in the various business sectors to provide experience across a wide range of projects.
The location for this role will be in our Hemel Hempstead office, however we will also consider applications for our Birmingham office, or our Kilkenny (Ireland) office.
Requirements
The Candidate….
The ideal candidate will have:
- Engineering degree (Hons bachelors degree) in Mechanical, Process, or a similar discipline relevant to the specification above.
- 7+ years post-graduate and relevant design experience.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent, with relevant Institution
- Experience in the Water Industry
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Good academic record
- Full clean driving license and own transport required.
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
