Finegreen are supporting a large NHS organisation in the appointment of a senior healthcare professional specialising in Theatres and wider surgical services. Please note you will need a current registration as a Nurse or ODP to undertake this assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide viable, accessible leadership to all clinical areas within their given areas of responsibility;
- Support the Theatres and Day Care Ward Senior clinical staff to promote excellence in nursing care to maintain and improve clinical standards;
- The post holder will ensure that all patients are treated with compassion, dignity and respect placing value on the diversity of the local community and beyond;
- Promote best practice in the prevention of infection through ensuring a clean and safe environment, and that clinical practices are in accordance with Trust policy and best practice guidelines to minimise the risk of infection;
- Support and oversee practice, standards and productivity across all Theatres within the Trust;
- Ensure that the patient experience is of the highest quality inspiring patient and public confidence; achieved through high visibility, accessibility and surveillance;
- Ensure that theatre staff comply with Trust-wide policies and procedures.
Ideal Candidate:
- Registered Nurse / ODP qualification;
- Extensive Theatres experience at managerial/leadership level;
- A good understanding of the changing NHS environment;
- Ability to be intellectually flexible and to look beyond existing structures, ways of working, boundaries and organisations to produce more effective and innovative service delivery and partnerships;
- High level of work organisation, self-motivation, drive for performance and improvement.
