Finegreen are currently supporting a large NHS Trust based in the South East of England, looking to appoint a senior Safeguarding clinical professional to oversee Children’s Safeguarding within the organisation. Key Responsibilities: An integral member of the Safeguarding Senior Management Team supporting the Corporate Nursing Division in the delivery of key performance targets and the Safeguarding strategy; Provide proactive senior nursing leadership and management for Safeguarding for Childrens (all aspects); Responsible for implementing and monitoring quality governance arrangements that are in place within the Corporate Nursing Division, including addressing CQC standards, risk management, review critical incidents, identify, and review key clinical and service indicators/audit outcomes and implement information governance requirements; Responsible for the performance and delivery of safe, high quality safeguarding services within the designated area of responsibility and providing cross cover to other areas as required; Determining the strategic direction of the safeguarding service in collaboration with the wider safeguarding SMT; Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and service quality for safeguarding at the organisation; Performance management and professional standards of Safeguarding Nurse Specialists to ensure delivery of healthcare performance standards and Trust objectives within their designated area of responsibility. Ideal Candidate will have: Registered Nurse/ Health Visitor/RSCN or Midwife current NMC; Extensive experience of safeguarding experience with knowledge of specialist areas; Level 4 competence for Safeguarding; Appreciation of the relationships between different stakeholder roles and responsibilities in the safeguarding process.
