Interim Head of Financial Management – NHS Trust (South East) Band 8c / 8d – NHS Agency Capped Rates Start: ASAP | Duration: 3–6 Months Hybrid Working Available We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Financial Management to join a forward-thinking NHS Provider Trust in the South East. This is a pivotal leadership role, ideal for a seasoned finance professional who can hit the ground running and provide expert oversight during a period of transition. Key Responsibilities: Lead the Financial Management function across the Trust, ensuring robust financial control and high-quality financial reporting; Support strategic planning and operational decision-making through sound financial insight; Work closely with Executive and Divisional leaders to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance; Ensure compliance with NHS financial policies and reporting requirements; Requirements: Proven experience at Head of Financial Management or equivalent level within an NHS Provider Trust – essential; Strong technical knowledge of NHS finance frameworks, planning cycles, and reporting standards; Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams in a complex healthcare environment; Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills; Immediate availability or short notice preferred; Additional Information: Location: South East England (Hybrid working model – onsite presence required as needed) Duration: Initial 3–6 months Rate: Band 8c / 8d – in line with NHS agency capped rates If you’re an NHS finance leader ready to make a difference and can start immediately, we’d love to hear from you.
