We are working with an NHS organisation who are seeking to appoint an Interim Head of Finance – Commissioning for a short term assignment, the contract will be for 3 months initially with an option to extend. The role will be hybrid working and will be renumerated at Band 8c. Experience at this level within a complex NHS organisation is essential and the successful candidate will be CCAB qualified with significant post qualification experience. Key responsibilities will include: Manage the finance departments commissioning team and develop data management improvement, statutory reporting, performance management support and business intelligence; Deliver and lead the financial flows and reserves management of commissioning and provider arrangements; Professionally advise the organisation in the preparation, presentation and assessment of clinical service development business cases submitted; Take lead responsibility on a day to day basis of the management of the Finance Commissioning Team, including workload planning and prioritisation, whilst incorporating and promoting new ways of working and instigating change management techniques where required; Manage Provider activity and agreements (for out of area patients).
