Finegreen are supporting a large healthcare organisation in the appointment of a senior level HR professional, to support the organisation through a transitional period in the next 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This key role is designed to be the focal point for Human Resource Management and Cultural initiatives to deliver further related improvements within the organisation.
  • Leading the implementation of the People Strategy and advancing the Culture Programme as we recognise that the culture of an organisation shapes the behaviour of everyone in it, the quality of care and overall performance.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop the professional HR service, promote organisations values and behaviours, and champion the commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Hold a clear remit for transformation and improvement of people related practices with significant exposure to the Executive leadership team, Board, and external partners across the healthcare system.
  • A crucial element of this role is to advance engagement with the workforce.
  • Responsible for significant elements of the Sirona Business Plan & Strategy and contribute to the development of a People Plan. This will include working closely with Associate Directors for Strategic Workforce; Learning & Development and Communications colleagues.
  • Support the HR Operations Team in the development of a high-quality function, with the competence and capacity to deliver safely and effectively the People Plan.
  • Ensure the Clinical Divisions and Corporate Departments are receiving high quality support on all aspects of the People Plan, particularly those relating to culture.
  • Ensure any interventions or activities implemented have effective metrics in place to measure the impact of the work and be accountable for reporting on progress and ultimately completion of milestones.
  • Facilitate the use of national compliance systems to measure performance, networking with external bodies to ensure best practice approaches are adopted and delivering improvements.
  • Support the development of leadership and management capability and capacity at all levels of the organisation, equipping leaders with the knowledge and skills to respond to their management responsibilities in line with strategic objectives.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Appropriate professional qualification at level 7 CIPD or equivalent or relevant experience.
  • Masters in Business Administration/Human Resource Management/Organisational Development.
  • Knowledge of the current NHS agenda and where organisational development can be used to effect positive outcomes.
  • Knowledge and skills to influence across a broad range of stakeholders and within challenging environments – ‘politically astute’.
