We are manufacturers of high quality wallcoverings based in the heart of Cheshire, England, in the Town of Congleton. Our factory includes a team of skilled designers, colourists, and printers, working together to produce cutting-edge designs. We have a diverse portfolio and a legacy of innovation.
We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias. Joining a team of experienced electrical and mechanical engineers, the position will include reactive and planned mechanical maintenance to a variety of printing presses, ancillary equipment and buildings, to support the strategy of the ongoing smooth running of the plant.
Responsibilities- Reactive and planned maintenance
- Mechanical and Electrical fault finding
- Working with newly planned maintenance schedules
- Helping towards increased efficiencies within the plant
- Maintaining records
- Ensure the business complies with current legislation
- Emergency plant repairs when necessary
- ONC or HNC or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Mechanical knowledge including knowledge of pneumatics, diaphragm pumps, mechanical drives (chains, sprockets, gears, gearboxes, drive belts)
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures
- Good communication, organisational & planning skills
- Ability to work on your own and within a team
- Ability to work under your own initiative and also under pressure
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience within a factory environment
- Knowledge of printing and printing machinery
40 hours per week, working 4 days out of 5 (Monday to Friday, rotating 6am-4pm / 8am-6pm).
