Oracle PPM Consultant, Outside IR35
6-month contract for a research consultancy firm that provides data-driven insights to accelerate the shift to renewable energy solutions. The business needs to transform and stabilise its consulting division’s current operations by transitioning from offline Excel reporting to the Oracle PPM suite.
There is a requirement for an experienced Oracle PPM Consultant to lead the implementation of Oracle Project Portfolio Management (PPM) for the consulting division and finance billing team. This project has a focus on configuring the Oracle PPM modules and collaborating with internal teams to deliver a comprehensive and effective solution, including potential integration with EPM cubes and BI reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with consulting, finance, and support teams to understand business requirements and Oracle PPM capabilities.
- Provide guidance on best practices for Oracle PPM to address business objectives.
Process Documentation
- Assist the business analyst in creating detailed “As-Is” process documentation.
- Design and document “To-Be” processes aligned with Oracle PPM implementation and business goals.
Configuration & Development
- Lead the configuration of Oracle PPM modules to meet business requirements.
- Build, document, and unit test the Oracle PPM solution, including workflows, roles, and reports.
- Develop and implement user roles and reports to support required interfaces and integrations.
Testing & Deployment
- Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute testing cycles, including system integration and user acceptance testing.
- Provide ongoing support to resolve issues and optimize system performance post-deployment.
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience configuring Oracle PPM modules, with a deep understanding of their functionalities.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering Oracle PPM implementations in a project-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of finance and consulting processes, particularly billing and project accounting.
- Awareness and understanding of the capabilities across other Oracle applications and platform components, including EPM, SCM, HCM, Integration.
- Excellent client stakeholder management, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in developing phased programme delivery roadmaps and solution blueprinting, including the presentation and articulation of this to the client.
- Integration and Data Migration experience.
- Workshop/meeting facilitation skills.
- Ability to oversee a team in the design of a solution, potentially working across multiple assignments.
Good To Have
- Oracle Specialism or Certification is desired but not essential.
