Are you ready to inspire the next generation of scientists? Come and join our friendly team as a Technical Support Assistant where you’ll play a key role in delivering expert science support to our internal teams and valued customers for our Philip Harris and Unilab brands. From answering product queries to shaping new science education tools, this is a varied and hands-on role with real impact.

Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you’ll be the voice of technical confidence and the brain behind technical science content that supports and engages science customers. This role would suit someone who has experience as a school-based science technician or a science related degree. If this sounds like you, please get in touch – we’d love to hear from you.

Your Role:

  • Provide first-line technical support for science education customers
  • Contribute to product development – from concept to classroom
  • Create clear and helpful "Notes for Use" and technical documentation
  • Support marketing and training events, deliver workshops, and attend trade shows
  • Ensure accurate technical representation in photography and digital content
  • Help drive UK and international sales with technical input and support
  • Maintain expert knowledge of product maintenance and service requirements
  • Support the development of dynamic website content, blog posts, and product microsites
  • Customer queries/issues resolution
  • Actively contribute to product strategy - identifying opportunities and gaps in the science range.

About You:

  • Experience as a school science technician or other relevant experience with a science background
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical detail to different audiences
  • A proactive mindset and genuine passion for science education
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and a creative flair for content
  • Able to solve problems by thinking creatively and being resourceful
  • Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills
  • Ambition to grow and a “can-do” attitude.
  • Ideally have own transport and driving license
