Permanent, full-time position based in Totton, Southampton.
Salary
Negotiable depending on experience + additional benefits & progression
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Transport Manager with the day-to-day running of transport operations
- Assist with route planning and daily delivery schedules
- Support driver management, training and development
- Monitor drivers' hours, working time and transport compliance
- Help forecast transport requirements and vehicle availability
- Support fleet maintenance and ensure vehicles remain operational
- Resolve day-to-day transport issues and delivery challenges
- Maintain accurate transport records and documentation
- Help ensure a safe, efficient and compliant transport operation
- Work closely with warehouse and operational teams
Requirements
- Previous experience within transport supervision, transport operations or a similar role
- Experience working with tachographs required
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and transport legislation
- Valid CPC required
- Strong people-management and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment
- Good organisation and problem-solving ability
- Flexible approach to working hours and early starts
- Full UK driving licence, minimum Category C1, required
