Permanent, full-time position based in Rochdale.
Salary
Highly competitive and negotiable, depending on experience + generous bonus / commission scheme + company car
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced automotive sales leader to take responsibility for a high-performing used car sales team, driving profitability, developing people and maximising sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop the dealership sales team
- Ensure all incoming leads are distributed effectively and followed up
- Drive profitable vehicle sales and achieve agreed departmental targets
- Manage sales planning, forecasting and overall team performance
- Monitor individual and team KPIs and implement improvements where required
- Develop and maintain effective sales strategies
- Support and coach Sales Executives to improve conversion and performance
- Maintain high standards of customer service throughout the sales process
- Analyse sales figures and report performance to senior management
- Identify new sales opportunities and areas for business growth
- Ensure the team consistently meets and exceeds company targets
- Represent the business at relevant meetings and industry events where required
Skills & Experience Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sales Manager within the automotive industry is essential
- Proven experience leading and developing a vehicle sales team
- Strong track record of achieving sales and profitability targets
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Confident managing leads, pipelines, forecasting and KPIs
- Strong leadership, coaching and motivational ability
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Commercially driven with a strong focus on performance and results
