FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established engineering and packaging machinery business with the recruitment of a Business Development Manager.
Permanent, full-time position based from Peebles, with travel to customer sites.
Salary
From £45,000, depending on experience + excellent benefits
This is a highly autonomous technical sales role focused on developing new business and growing capital equipment sales across the food, beverage, home and personal care sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across target manufacturing sectors
- Sell capital equipment and packaging machinery solutions to new and existing customers
- Build strong relationships with manufacturers across the UK and Ireland
- Manage the full sales process from initial enquiry through to proposal, negotiation and close
- Understand customer production requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions
- Attend customer sites to develop opportunities and support the sales process
- Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial presentations
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide regular forecasts
- Work closely with technical and engineering teams to ensure customers receive the right solution
- Represent the business professionally at customer meetings and industry events
Skills & Experience Requirements
- Previous experience within technical sales, machinery sales or capital equipment sales
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand engineering-based products
- Proven ability to develop new business and manage complex sales opportunities
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
- Experience selling into food, beverage, home care, personal care or packaging environments would be highly advantageous
- Comfortable travelling extensively throughout the UK and Ireland
- Proactive, ambitious and commercially driven
