FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established and growing transport business with the recruitment of a Transport Planner.
Permanent, full-time position based in Beeston, Nottingham.
This is a busy operational role suited to someone with strong transport planning experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced traffic environment, coordinating workloads and delivering excellent service to customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily transport movements and workloads.
- Manage schedules and respond quickly to changing operational requirements.
- Liaise with drivers, customers and internal teams throughout the day.
- Ensure transport activity is organised efficiently and meets customer deadlines.
- Maintain accurate transport records and update relevant systems.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers.
- Resolve operational issues and delays effectively.
- Ensure activity is completed in line with transport legislation and company procedures.
- Support the wider transport team in maintaining high service levels.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within transport planning, traffic operations or transport coordination.
- Good understanding of transport legislation.
- Experience working within a busy transport or logistics environment.
- Strong telephone manner and customer service skills.
- Excellent organisation and ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Confident working independently and using initiative.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good IT skills and experience using transport systems would be advantageous.
- Commercial awareness and previous sales experience would be beneficial.
- Reliable, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
