FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established fire and security business with the recruitment of a Service & Maintenance Engineer.
Permanent, full-time position covering Manchester, with travel to client sites as required.
Salary
Negotiable, depending on experience + overtime + additional benefits + company vehicle and fuel card
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs across fire and security systems
- Work on Fire Detection, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems
- Diagnose system faults and carry out efficient repairs
- Test and inspect systems to ensure compliance with relevant standards
- Complete minor system modifications and remedial works where required
- Liaise with clients and provide technical advice
- Complete service reports, maintenance records and certification accurately
- Work closely with service coordinators and internal teams to manage workloads
- Participate in an on-call rota where required
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience servicing and maintaining fire and security systems
- Experience with Fire Detection, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good knowledge of relevant British Standards
- Understanding of networking and IP-based systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to pass security vetting
- Experience with systems such as Advanced, Hikvision, Paxton, Texecom, Galaxy or Orisec would be advantageous
- FIA, IPAF or PASMA qualifications would be beneficial
