FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established engineering business with the recruitment of a Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager.
Permanent, full-time position based in Glasgow.
Salary
£35,000 – £40,000 + Bonus, depending on experience + company car / car allowance + additional benefits
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across industrial and engineering markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Understand customer specifications and recommend suitable technical solutions
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals
- Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to identify the best equipment options
- Provide product knowledge and technical support to customers
- Manage customer accounts from initial enquiry through to order completion
- Work closely with internal teams to achieve sales and business growth targets
- Support projects across sectors including manufacturing, quarries, oil & gas, biomass and food & beverage
- Identify opportunities to increase sales across the region
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within technical sales, engineering sales, business development or account management
- Strong mechanical engineering knowledge
- Good understanding of rotating equipment such as motors, geared motors, pumps or similar equipment would be advantageous
- Strong commercial awareness and customer-focused approach
- Confident preparing proposals and presenting technical solutions
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Mechanical Engineering qualification or similar would be advantageous
- Experience selling into industrial or manufacturing environments would be beneficial
- Full UK driving licence preferred
