Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a vibrant, specialist education setting supporting students aged 5 to 18 with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the strategic development of SEND policy and provision
  • Designing and implementing targeted interventions to support pupil progress
  • Monitoring and evaluating outcomes in line with EHCPs
  • Conducting annual reviews and supporting safeguarding as a Deputy DSL
  • Working closely with staff, families, and external professionals
  • Coordinating day-to-day SEND operations and maintaining accurate records
  • Advising colleagues on effective teaching and behaviour strategies
  • Leading intervention groups and assessing their impact
  • Supporting pupil transitions into and beyond the setting
  • Undertaking a 50% teaching commitment (secondary experience preferred, ideally Science)
