Job Description

Speech and Language TherapistLocation: SomersetSalary: Up to £44,000 per annum (full-time, 40 hours per week) – pro rata based on experienceWe are working on behalf of a specialist educational provider to recruit a dedicated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to support children and young people with complex needs. The successful candidate will become part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, delivering impactful services in a flexible working environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and deliver targeted interventions for pupils with additional needs
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary clinical team to ensure consistent, high-quality support
  • Provide consultation and guidance to staff around communication, language development, and SEN best practice
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of therapy input across two school sites

Candidate Requirements:

  • HCPC registration (essential)
  • Post-qualification experience within SEN or education environments
  • Knowledge of and experience using a variety of speech and language assessment tools and therapy approaches tailored for children and young people with complex needs
  • Interest in areas such as developmental trauma and attachment
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
