We\’re on the lookout for an Employability Skills Tutor to support with delivery of Employability & Life Skills ahead of release from the prison environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage delivery of Life & Employability to participants looking to gain employment & skills ahead of release.

• • Deliver high-quality classes adapting to various learning styles and needs to suit small groups of learners.
• Ensure inclusive teaching strategies are embedded across the team.
• Promote a positive learning environment that supports engagement, wellbeing, and progress.
• Develop and implement effective schemes of work and curriculum planning tailored to individual learner needs.
• Provide support of safeguarding measures.
• Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning standards, carrying out observations and learning walks.
• Track learner progress, outcomes, and achievement rates against key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure compliance with awarding bodies, funding requirements & MOJ policies.

Person Specification:
Essential:

• Recognised teaching or assessing qualifications (e.g. A1, TAQA, CAVA, D32/33 PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, PTTLS)
• Level 2 or above qualification in English and Maths.
• Proven experience delivering Life & Employability Skills – supporting learners with ALN\’s.

Salary up to £27,500 + additional benefits.
