Job Description

Pharmacy TechnicianSalary: £26,903 – £37,799 depending on experience/qualificationsLocation: BathWorking Hours: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hoursThe VacancyWe're working on behalf of a reputable healthcare provider to recruit a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join a dynamic and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a hospital setting that offers a wide range of Inpatient, Daycase, and Outpatient services, serving both NHS and private patients.We are seeking a full-time pharmacy technician to work closely with a clinical pharmacist and a trainee pharmacy technician. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pharmacy services across both ward and dispensary functions.You’ll be part of a cohesive team consisting of a Lead Pharmacist, a Clinical Pharmacist, and an experienced Pharmacy Technician. Together, you will be responsible for the full scope of Medicines Management, including prescribing, dispensing, governance, risk management, ordering, and supply. This role also involves participation in training, quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and ensuring high standards of performance and patient care.Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical care.
  • Support ward and dispensary services as needed.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of pharmacy services.
  • Participate in medicines management, clinical audits, and training activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified and registered Pharmacy Technician.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to delivering excellent patient care and continuous service improvement.
