Therapist – Children’s Residential Services
Home-based with regular travel to children’s residential services within approximately 45 minutes of Peterborough

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Therapist to support children and young people within our residential services. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people with a range of emotional, behavioural, and therapeutic needs.
The role is primarily home-based, with regular travel to residential homes within approximately 45 minutes of Peterborough to provide therapeutic support, assessments, interventions, and guidance to care teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to children and young people in residential care.
- Undertake assessments and formulate therapeutic support plans.
- Work collaboratively with residential staff, families, and external professionals.
- Provide consultation, advice, and support to care teams.
- Maintain accurate and professional records in line with regulatory and professional standards.
- Contribute to positive outcomes and emotional wellbeing for children and young people.
Essential Requirements
- Registration with UKCP, HCPC, or BACP.
- Experience working with children and young people in residential, therapeutic, educational, or similar settings.
- Proven experience supporting children with a range of complex emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs.
- Strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to travel to residential services within approximately 45 minutes of Peterborough.
