Job Description

Non-Exec Director / Advisor to the Board – Further Education

Part-Time | Paid Advisory Role | Remote/Flexible

Helping FIND Shape the Future of FE Recruitment

At FIND, we’ve been placing Senior & Executive Talent in the Independent Training Provider market for a combined 30+ years. With a track record of over 280 successful permanent placements a year and partnerships with 98 employers last year alone, we’re known for our speed, agility and deep sector knowledge within the Training & Education space.

Now, with a growing number of FE Colleges turning to us for help with permanent strategic hires, we’re evolving – and we want an experienced Advisor or NED to help drive our next stage of growth in this area.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Board Advisor – a respected and experienced leader in the Further Education (FE) sector – to help shape our offer, guide our messaging and ensure we stand out as a strategic talent partner, not “just another FE recruiter.”

This is a paid, non-executive advisory role, ideal for someone who:

  • Is a former CEO, Principal, or senior leader in the FE space (perhaps recently retired or semi-retired)
  • Or is currently working fractionally or in an interim capacity within the FE sector and has room to take on an advisory position
  • Understands the evolving needs of colleges and training providers from the inside out
  • Is excited by the chance to help reshape how recruitment is done in the FE space

Why Join FIND?

  • We're specialists: We only focus on senior perm hiring and executive search – no temps.
  • We're fast: Our average time to hire is just 28 days.
  • We’re ambitious: We’re expanding our footprint into FE colleges and have bold plans for the next phase of growth.
  • We listen: This is not a vanity advisory role – we’re actively seeking your input to shape our strategy, voice and positioning.

What You'll Bring

  • A strong network and reputation in the FE sector
  • An understanding of the challenges and opportunities colleges are facing today
  • Strategic thinking, clear communication, and a desire to contribute meaningfully to a growing business
  • An interest in helping us challenge sector norms and do things differently

If you’re passionate about the FE sector, have experience leading within it, and are curious about how your knowledge could help reshape the talent landscape, we’d love to talk.
