Find Medical is proud to be supporting a well-established private hospital in West London in the recruitment of an experienced Theatre Manager .

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and clinically credible Theatre professional who wants to remain hands-on whilst also leading a busy and diverse theatre service. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing theatre operations while continuing to support clinical activity across the hospital.

The Role

This position offers a varied and rewarding workload within a mixed-speciality private hospital environment. You will oversee the day-to-day management of the theatre department while maintaining a visible clinical presence and supporting the wider perioperative team.

This is not a purely managerial position. We are looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on and is willing to support the service clinically when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the theatre department, ensuring safe and effective service delivery.
  • Support, develop and mentor theatre staff.
  • Maintain high clinical and operational standards.
  • Assist with workforce planning, staffing and departmental performance.
  • Provide clinical support within theatres when required, including scrubbing for procedures.
  • Support endoscopy and pre-assessment services as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing teams and senior hospital management.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant standards and governance requirements.
  • Contribute to service development and operational efficiency.

About You Essential Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP).
  • Significant theatre experience within a hospital setting.
  • Strong understanding of perioperative services and theatre operations.
  • Previous leadership experience as a Theatre Team Leader, Deputy Theatre Manager or Theatre Manager.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and maintain a strong clinical presence.
  • Passion for patient care and delivering high-quality clinical services.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within the independent healthcare sector.
  • Exposure to multiple surgical specialities.
  • Experience supporting endoscopy and pre-assessment services.
  • Previous involvement in service improvement and departmental development.
