An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Clinician (Mental Health Nurse or Social Worker) to join a well-established national provider of adult care services. This is a key role focused on strengthening safeguarding practice and supporting high‐quality mental health care across residential and supported living services.

The Role

  • Provide specialist safeguarding and mental health expertise across multiple services, working closely with operational teams and senior leadership to ensure safe, effective, and person‐centred care.
  • Providing expert safeguarding advice and clinical guidance.
  • Leading and contributing to safeguarding meetings, reviews, and investigations.
  • Delivering safeguarding training (Level 3 and above) across the organisation.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring incidents, analysing trends, and producing regular safeguarding reports.
  • Advising on Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and risk management.
  • Supporting complex case discussions and care planning.
  • Working collaboratively with Local Authorities, NHS, Police, and external stakeholders.
  • Promoting trauma‐informed and person‐centred approaches.

Requirements

  • Qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Social Worker.
  • Relevant professional registration (NMC or Social Work England).
  • Strong background in mental health and safeguarding practice.
  • AAR (Adults at Risk) experience.
  • Experience leading safeguarding investigations and multi‐agency meetings.
  • In‐depth knowledge of:
    • Mental Capacity Act (MCA) & DoLS.
    • Mental Health Act.
    • Safeguarding Adults frameworks.
  • Ability to work autonomously and influence practice at a senior level.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Level 4/5 Safeguarding qualification.
  • Leadership or management training.
  • Experience delivering training and supervision.
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs (e.g. learning disabilities, ASD, ABI, forensic mental health).
