Our client, an independent specialist school in Cannock, is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons for students aged 11-19 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. What You'll Do

  • Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons tailored to individual pupil needs, including those with SEND and trauma histories.
  • Use assessment data to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Promote pupils' social, emotional, and academic development through trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, consistent with the school's behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective, personalised support.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
  • Proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour
  • Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and behaviour management in specialist education settings

  • Commitment to professional conduct, safeguarding, and the Staff Code of Conduct
