You’ll play a key role in maintaining quality, supporting delivery staff, and ensuring apprentices receive a consistently high standard of training and assessment.

About the Role

As an Electrical IQA / Internal Verifier / Quality Assurance Officer, you’ll oversee the quality of apprenticeship delivery across your region. This role goes beyond compliance; you’ll act as a coach, mentor and subject matter expert, supporting assessors and trainers to continuously improve.

  • Sample learner portfolios and assessment decisions to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and development support to staff
  • Support standardisation across teams to maintain high-quality delivery
  • Produce clear reports, action plans, and follow-up on improvements
  • Prepare for and support external audits (Awarding Organisations, EPAOs, Ofsted)
  • Monitor trends in delivery and identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with apprenticeship standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of IQA activity and sampling
  • Embed safeguarding, Prevent, equality & diversity, and health & safety into quality processes
  • Keep up to date with industry standards, frameworks, and best practice

If you’re currently an assessor and want to take the next step into IQA, this is a strong opportunity to make that transition.

  • Experience assessing apprentices (NVQ / apprenticeship standards)
  • Good understanding of quality and compliance within apprenticeships
  • Strong communication, organisation, and coaching skills

Desirable:
