About the Role: Our client is looking for a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join their friendly, supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to children with complex needs, delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching in a nurturing environment. As a SEND Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting students' learning and personal development, ensuring they thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons and support across the curriculum for students with a range of special educational needs.
- Teach using a spiral programme, revisiting concepts to deepen understanding and develop skills.
- Work closely with internal and external professionals such as psychologists and therapists to support student progress.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students, recognising their individual needs and celebrating their achievements.
- Provide tailored support that empowers students and fosters a positive learning environment.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for working with children with SEND.
- At least two years' experience in a SEND environment or similar provision.
- QTS/QTLS qualification is essential.
