Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? Our client, an independent specialist school in Scunthorpe, is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students aged 11-16 with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Many pupils have EHCPs and benefit from tailored support for needs such as ADHD and ASD. The school provides a calm, structured, and nurturing environment for young people who have found mainstream education challenging, helping them re-engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Assist pupils with learning activities, adapting support to individual needs under teacher guidance.
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development using trauma-informed approaches.
- Help manage behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct.
- Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and confidence in learning tasks.
