Role Overview
Braze's RFP Program provides sales and solutions teams with tools, resources, and support to respond to customer RFx requests efficiently and effectively. The EMEA-based Proposal Writer is a newly created role and will help further scale the RFP Program by contributing in two key areas:
- Regional program support, including content development and team enablement across EMEA markets;
- Hands-on proposal management on a selection of strategic EMEA bids.
What You'll Do
Regional Program Support
- Content management and curation: Manage and curate EMEA-specific Q&A libraries and unstructured content sources within Braze’s AI-native RFP response platform, ensuring regional information is fresh, accurate, and tailored to local market needs.
- Localization: Adapt global program tools, templates, and processes to fit EMEA market nuances and regional procurement requirements.
- Enablement: Deliver regional training on RFP tools, processes, and best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain clear process documentation and playbooks for the EMEA region.
- Continuous Quality Improvement: Gather and analyze feedback from internal stakeholders to identify and drive program improvement initiatives.
Direct Support for Strategic Bids
- Proposal Management: Lead the end-to-end proposal process for a select of strategic EMEA bids (managing timelines, coordinating stakeholders, facilitating reviews, and ensuring final submission quality).
- Proposal Writing: Write, edit, and refine proposal content, translating complex product and technical capabilities into clear, compelling, and client-facing responses.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Solutions Consulting, Legal, Security, and Marketing) to extract inputs and resolve open issues and blockers.
- Lessons Learned: Lead post-mortems on supported bids to capture lessons learned and improve proposal content and processes over time.
Who You Are
- Proposal Professional: 3–5 years of experience in proposal writing, bid coordination, or a related function, ideally within a b2b SaaS or technology environment; familiarity with EMEA procurement processes.
- Organized and Dependable: Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and workstreams with high attention to detail.
- Strong Writer: Able to synthesize technical details and product architecture into clear, well-structured prose under deadline pressure.
- Collaborative: Skilled at building relationships and driving accountability across various internal teams (Sales, Legal, Security) to secure necessary inputs.
- Adaptable and Curious: Comfortable in a role that may evolve, and motivated to help build and improve the regional support model and global RFP Program over time.
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity with AI-native RFP platforms or knowledge management tools (such as Responsive, Loopio, or similar).
- Fluency in an additional European language (e.g., French, German, or Spanish).
