Find Your Footsteps Recruitment have teamed up with one of the U.K's most successful legal firms and are currently supporting them with the recruitment of a private client solicitor within their private client team at their office in Warrington.
Role responsibilities
- Probate
- Dealing with administration of estates from start to finish.
- Preparation and application for Grant of Probate and Letters of Administration.
- Completion of and dealing with all tax forms, in respect of Inheritance Tax, Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax and advising with regard to the same.
- Attending to house clearances where appropriate.
- Collecting in and realising assets and paying liabilities.
- Distributing the estate and preparing income and distribution accounts.
- Advising with regard to Tax mitigation and Deeds of Variation and dealing with the same.
- Wills
- Taking instructions and advising as necessary.
- Assessing the capacity of the Client, where necessary.
- Providing advice on Inheritance Tax, Income Tax, and Capital Gains Tax and Tax Mitigation.
- Drafting, preparation and attesting of Wills.
- Applying for Statutory Wills, where necessary.
- Trusts and Tax
- Advising generally with regard to Trusts.
- Providing advice on Inheritance Tax, Income Tax, and Capital Gains Tax and Tax Mitigation.
- Drafting Trust documents.
- Powers of Attorney/Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Taking instructions and advising as necessary with regard to Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- Assessing the capacity of the Client, where necessary.
- Drafting Powers of Attorney.
- Preparing applications with regard to the registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney.
- Acting as Certificate Providers.
- Advising and looking after interests of elderly clients.
- Dealing with their affairs either under Power of Attorney or without Power of Attorney.
- Advising generally and managing financial affairs of clients, paying bills and looking after their investments and assets.
- Advising with regard to DSS benefits and making necessary applications.
- A knowledge of social care and CHC funding would be useful.
- Court of Protection
- Making applications to the Court for the appointment of a Deputy and all relevant orders and directions.
- Complying with terms of Court Orders and directions.
- Producing accounts for the Court.
- Dealing with all necessary formalities of the Court and generally with the Patients' affairs.
- Business Development
- Proven experience of business development.
