We are looking for talented, friendly and enthusiastic individuals to join our firm. Specifically, a Compliance Assistant, based in either our Bedford, Cambridge or Milton Keynes office. If you have previous experience working as Paralegal or Fee Earner and are looking to strengthen your knowledge and experience within Compliance, this role could be exactly what you’re looking for!

What will your responsibilities be?

This role is a part-time position, working 3 days a week in the office
• Updating policies and procedures including AML & GDPR
• Dealing with initial responses to complaints and ensuring the complaints process is followed
• Providing general admin support within the compliance department and maintaining compliance documentation and registers
• Undertaking file reviews and managing the process
• Responding to routine compliance queries
• Monitoring for and escalating potential compliance issues as appropriate

Does your previous experience include:

• Strong legal background such as working as a Paralegal, Fee Earner or AML Compliance Officer
• Good understanding of SRA rules and regulations
• Dealing with quality standards such as Lexcel or Conveyancing Quality Standard
