Ward Manager Role Overview: Provide clinical leadership and management, overseeing nursing staff and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Act as a role model and mentor, offering guidance to junior staff and fellow Mental Health Nurses ( RMN ). Work within a Multi-Disciplinary Team, promoting strong collaboration in care planning and service delivery. Engage in continuous professional development, including supervision and appraisal processes. Support recruitment and retention, building a skilled and dedicated nursing workforce. Skills & Qualifications Required: Extensive clinical knowledge with experience in care planning, risk assessments, and report writing. Strong understanding of Mental Health Act legislation and statutory care requirements. Proven ability to manage shifts, coordinate staffing, and oversee ward operations. Commitment to mentoring junior Mental Health Nurses ( RMN ) and fostering professional development.
