About the role
Are you an inspiring leader with a passion for driving positive student progress alongside curriculum teams? Our client is looking for exceptional Student Progress Managers to champion their newly created roles. Their campus-based positions offer an excellent opportunity to become deeply embedded in college life while providing vital student support.
Depending on your expertise, you will take cross-college oversight and operational leadership of either Tutorial or Enrichment Provision, helping to shape the future of student services and engagement.
In this dynamic role, you will act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), providing outstanding first-response support and leading the operational delivery of safeguarding interventions.
You will also line manage and develop a dedicated team of Student Progress Mentors, rigorously monitoring attendance targets and deploying swift support frameworks to maximise student retention, engagement and success.
To succeed, you should have a proven track record of delivering highly effective interventions for young people within an educational setting. A thorough understanding of Further Education (FE), safeguarding, equality and diversity, and the challenges facing young people is essential.
Requirements
- Management qualification at or above Level 5, or currently working towards one.
- Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training.
- Thorough and demonstrable understanding of the challenges and current issues affecting Further Education, including relevant legislation such as Equality and Diversity and SEND.
- Relevant experience supporting young people within an educational setting.
- A proven track record of delivering highly effective interventions with young people.
- Experience of successfully leading cross-college initiatives.
