An established and growing training provider is seeking an experienced Personal Development Manager to support Apprentices undertaking Health & Social Care qualifications up to Level 5. This is a field‑based position where you’ll manage your own diary and caseload, working closely with learners and employers to drive engagement, progression, and timely achievement.
The Role
As a Health and Social Care Development Coach, you’ll play a key role in guiding learners through their apprenticeship journey. You’ll deliver high‑quality teaching, coaching, and assessment while ensuring each learner stays on track and motivated to succeed. You’ll be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with both learners and employers, ensuring consistent engagement and measurable progress against programme goals and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and progress a caseload of apprenticeship learners through to successful completion
- Conduct monthly reviews with learners and employers to maintain engagement and commitment
- Deliver effective teaching and coaching aligned to apprenticeship standards (knowledge, skills, behaviours)
- Carry out workplace observations and provide constructive feedback
- Support learners in achieving Functional Skills (Maths & English) where required
- Prepare learners for and support them through End Point Assessment (EPA)
- Ensure timely and accurate assessment of learner evidence to demonstrate progression
- Maintain compliance with awarding body standards, internal quality processes, and Ofsted expectations
- Plan and manage your own schedule to meet performance targets (including regular learner contact)
- Complete all required documentation and administration accurately and on time
- Contribute to continuous improvement through CPD and sharing best practice
- Promote learner wellbeing and follow safeguarding procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting or managing learners within Adult Health & Social Care (minimum 2 years)
- Ideally qualified to Level 5 in Health & Social Care
- Relevant assessor qualification (e.g. A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload and meet targets
- Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with learners, employers, and stakeholders
- Passion for education, learner success, and quality delivery
- Comfortable working to KPIs and deadlines in a performance‑driven environment
- IT literate with good literacy and numeracy skills
- Professional, approachable, and resilient
