Home-based with regional travel

About the Organisation
We\’re working with a leading national apprenticeship training provider (Ofsted Grade 2), supporting over 8,500 apprentices across the UK through both direct and subcontracted delivery.
The Role
You ll champion health, safety, safeguarding, and wellbeing across the organisation ensuring compliance and fostering a positive culture for learners, staff, and partners. The role involves audits, risk management, incident investigations, and working closely with safeguarding teams to support learners\’ physical and emotional wellbeing.
Our client is open to candidates from two backgrounds:
- Safeguarding and wellbeing professionals open to upskilling in health & safety
- Health & safety professionals willing to develop their safeguarding and pastoral support skills
Key Duties
- Maintain and update H&S policies, ensuring compliance with legislation
- Audit delivery partners and oversee risk assessments
- Investigate incidents and manage RIDDOR reporting
- Support medical assessments and implement wellbeing plans for apprentices
- Collaborate with safeguarding colleagues to provide holistic learner support
What You ll Need
- NEBOSH certificate or substantial H&S experience, including RIDDOR
- H&S experience within education, apprenticeships, or training
- Strong working knowledge of H&S legislation
- Excellent communication and IT skills
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable
- Safeguarding qualification or relevant experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
