We're supporting a national, multi-site organisation undergoing significant growth and organisational development as they appoint a new Head of HR. This is a newly created leadership role reporting directly into the Chief People Officer and offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the next phase of the People function.
You'll lead HR operations across the business, provide leadership to a team of HR professionals (Business Partners & HR Ops), and act as the organisation's subject matter expert on employment law, organisational change and workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 3 HR Business Partners and 2 operational HR colleagues
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations, employment law and organisational change
- Lead consultations, restructures and workforce planning initiatives
- Drive succession planning and talent capability programmes
- Improve leadership capability across the organisation
- Ensure HR policies, procedures and compliance frameworks remain fit for purpose
- Support senior leaders on complex people matters
About You
We're keen to speak with experienced HR leaders who can combine strong technical expertise with a pragmatic and people-focused approach. Candidates must have experience in TUPE & ideally been in a business through a buy & build phase.
You'll likely bring:
- Significant HR operational leadership experience
- Strong employment law knowledge
- Experience leading restructures and consultations
- Workforce and succession planning experience
- Previous leadership of HR Business Partners or People teams
- A collaborative, approachable leadership style
- Sector background is less important than capability and cultural fit.
