Salary: £30,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week)

We are working with a well-established, values-driven charity to recruit an Employer Engagement Co-ordinator to join their Supported Employment team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in connecting individuals with autism and/or learning disabilities to meaningful employment and apprenticeship opportunities.

The Role

As Employer Engagement Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with local employers to create sustainable job and apprenticeship opportunities. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will focus on the employer-facing element of a supported employment programme, ensuring businesses are engaged, prepared, and supported to offer inclusive opportunities. You will work closely with internal colleagues including Employment Specialists, an Apprenticeship Lead, and training professionals to deliver a joined-up, person-centred approach that maximises outcomes for participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employer Engagement & Partnership Development
    • Proactively identify and secure employment and apprenticeship opportunities through outreach, networking, and business development activity
    • Build and maintain strong partnerships with employers, industry bodies, and training providers
    • Develop and manage a pipeline of employer leads
  • Apprenticeship Development
    • Support the creation and promotion of apprenticeship pathways in collaboration with internal stakeholders
    • Contribute to achieving apprenticeship placement targets
  • Employer Support & Training
    • Provide ongoing guidance and support to employers to ensure successful placements
    • Work alongside training colleagues to identify and meet employer training needs
  • Events & Promotion
    • Represent the organisation at job fairs, networking events, and employer engagement activities
    • Support marketing and communication initiatives to promote services and impact
  • Data & Performance
    • Track, analyse, and report on employer engagement activity and outcomes
    • Work towards agreed KPIs relating to placements, employer satisfaction, and retention
    • Contribute to continuous improvement and strategic development

About You

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Background in employer engagement, recruitment, business development, or apprenticeship placement
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed targets
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Good IT skills (e.g. Office 365 or similar)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable

  • Experience working with individuals with autism and/or learning disabilities
  • Knowledge of supported employment models
  • Experience conducting risk assessments
  • Awareness of equality, diversity, and inclusion practices

Qualifications

  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above, or relevant experience

Additional Information

  • This role involves travel across East Sussex and occasional flexible working (including evenings or weekends where required)
  • The position is subject to an enhanced DBS check (Adult & Child Workforce with Barred List)
  • All staff share responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals
