Job Description
Dietitian – Eating Disorders\\nHours – Full-time (37.5 hours per week)\\nLocation – Southampton\\nSalary – £27,000 – £48,000 per annum (DOE)\\n\\nWe are seeking a skilled Dietitian to join a dedicated healthcare team in Southampton on a permanent, full-time basis. This role focuses on supporting patients with eating disorders, working within a compassionate, multidisciplinary environment.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\n * Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients with eating disorders to identify deficiencies and dietary challenges.\\n\\n * Develop and implement individualised meal plans that support recovery and address both medical and psychological needs.\\n\\n * Provide education and counselling to patients and families around balanced nutrition, healthy eating behaviours, and relapse prevention.\\n\\n * Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and medical staff to deliver integrated treatment plans.\\n\\n * Monitor patient progress, adapt nutrition interventions, and help manage complications associated with eating disorders.\\n\\nEssential requirements:\\n\\n * Degree in Dietetics or equivalent qualification.\\n\\n * Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).\\n\\n * Strong skills in nutritional assessment, meal planning, and counselling for complex medical and psychological needs.\\n\\n * Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.\\n\\n * Excellent communication skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice.\\n\\nThis is a rewarding but demanding role where resilience, empathy, and adaptability are essential.
