We are recruiting an experienced and inspirational Nurse Manager to lead our Mental Health Unit in West Lothian. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a registered nurse with strong leadership skills and a passion for high-quality mental health care and clinical governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and operational leadership across the mental health unit
  • Ensure the highest standards of safe, effective, and person-centred care
  • Lead and oversee clinical governance, including audits, risk management, incident reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Manage and develop the nursing workforce, including recruitment, supervision, training, and performance management
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver positive patient outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures

Requirements

  • Current NMC registration as RMN, RGN, or RNLD
  • Substantial experience within mental health services
  • Previous experience in a senior nursing or management role
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience of clinical governance frameworks
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Experience within inpatient or specialist mental health settings
  • Experience contributing to service development and change management
