We are looking for a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our client as an Admiral Nurse, providing specialist dementia support across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. This is a community-based role where you will work closely with families affected by dementia, offering emotional, clinical, and practical support throughout their journey.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing your own caseload of carers and families
- Carrying out community home visits and ongoing support
- Providing emotional and psychological support (stress, anxiety, grief, coping strategies)
- Supporting carers to manage dementia-related behaviours and challenges
- Working with GPs, community teams, and other services to coordinate care
- Acting as an advocate for families (with consent)
- Delivering education, guidance, and support to professionals and carers
- Contributing to audits, service development, and best practice
Essential:
- Registered Nurse (NMC PIN)
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience working with older adults, mental health, or dementia care
- Strong communication skills
