We are recruiting an experienced and inspirational Nurse Manager to lead our Mental Health Unit in West Lothian. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a registered nurse with strong leadership skills and a passion for high-quality mental health care and clinical governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and operational leadership across the mental health unit
- Ensure the highest standards of safe, effective, and person-centred care
- Lead and oversee clinical governance, including audits, risk management, incident reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
- Manage and develop the nursing workforce, including recruitment, supervision, training, and performance management
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver positive patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures
Essential Criteria
- Current NMC registration as RMN, RGN, or RNLD
- Substantial experience within mental health services
- Previous experience in a senior nursing or management role
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience of clinical governance frameworks
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Desirable Criteria
- Leadership or management qualification
- Experience within inpatient or specialist mental health settings
- Experience contributing to service development and change management
