About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate

Speech and Language Therapist to join our school-based team in Liverpool.

This is an exciting opportunity to support children and young people in achieving their full communication potential and improving their educational outcomes.

The role is primarily based within schools during term time, with the flexibility to work from home during school holidays , offering an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for children and young people with speech, language, communication, and eating/drinking difficulties.
  • Develop and implement individual therapy programmes tailored to pupils' needs.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, parents/carers, and other professionals to support communication development.
  • Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and provide detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Deliver training, advice, and strategies to school staff to support pupils within the classroom environment.
  • Monitor progress and adapt interventions to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with professional and organisational standards.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Registration with the

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) .

  • Membership of the

Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) is desirable.

  • Previous experience working within schools, educational settings, or with children and young people is essential.
  • Experience supporting children with a range of speech, language, communication, and additional learning needs.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
