About the nursing home:
- Nursing and residential care homes registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) have 50 or more beds.
- Home is a purpose-built home situated near Basingstoke.
- This beautiful home is able to accept residents who require nursing care.
- The home has close links with the District Nursing service and its own nurses provide care 24 hours a day where this is required for nursing clients.
- Can offer care to persons over the age of 65 who require personal care, supervision with day-to-day activities, and nursing/medical needs.
- All potential residents are assessed prior to admission to ensure the home can meet their care needs.

The role of a Deputy Nurse Manager within the nursing home involves:
- Being responsible for the management of the nursing services in liaison with the Home Manager.
- Promoting and maintaining high standards of nursing care.
- Ensuring effective induction of new nursing staff and providing ongoing clinical supervision of trained staff.
- Working within the NMC and CQC standards, alongside internal policies and procedures.
- Planning, directing and delivering high quality person-centred care through the care planning process.
- Overseeing all aspects of medicine management ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered.
- Undertaking staff reviews through supervision, appraisals and team meetings.
- Taking an active role in training the team of nurses to ensure staff are kept up to date with current practices and good practice developments.
- Maintaining accurate and relevant documentation and reports to reflect practice and planned development.
- Deputising in the absence of the Home Manager.
Requirements for the Deputy Nurse Manager role:
- You must have a Registered Nurse Qualification (RGN/RMN/RNLD).
- Active NMC PIN.
- Clear DBS.
- Good working knowledge of CQC regulations.
- Proven track record of leading a Nursing team and delivery of person-centred care, including care planning.
- Must be residing in the UK.
