Salon Work And Welfare
Dogeast is a dog focused business and its public website is dogeast.co.uk. The salon work covers coat condition checks, skin checks, grooming finishes, and tidy hygiene. Owner conversations after the groom are part of the role, so clear, reassuring communication matters.
Skills And Training
The vacancy asks for a Level 3 dog grooming qualification, or equivalent experience, plus two to three years in a professional salon. It also looks for strong scissoring and clipping skills, a calm approach, and evidence of previous salon work. Hands on mentoring and development alongside experienced groomers are part of the offer.
Dogeast wants calm handling across breeds and coat types. The work stays close to the dog in front of the groomer, with one to one appointments and welfare first handling. Nail trims and ear cleaning sit alongside coat work. Applicants who already know salon standards will recognise the pace and the hygiene needs.
The vacancy was verified on 23 July 2026 against the current College of Animal Welfare vacancy page. The listing confirmed the pay, schedule, and grooming requirements. Dogeast's public website is dogeast.co.uk.
