Job Description

FIND are a specialist staffing business servicing the Further Education & Apprenticeship markets across the UK. We are delighted to be representing an inspirational and well respected Cambridge based centre of learning to hire a Technical Construction (Architecture & Built Environment) Lecturer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching and assessment across a range of Technical Construction programmes.
  • Ensure all teaching is in line with awarding body requirements to promote student achievement.
  • Develop and maintain teaching materials, including handouts, assignments, and electronic resources.
  • Prepare Schemes of Work and Schemes of Assessment.
  • Carry out moderation, assessment, and verification processes.
  • Provide tutorial guidance to students, track and review their progress, and communicate feedback to learners, parents/guardians, and employers.
  • Maintain industrial links and professional development within the Technical Construction sector.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Industry experience within the Technical Constructionsector.
  • A minimum Level 5 vocational qualification in a Construction area.
  • Ability to deliver inspirational teaching to learners of varying ages and abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student success and development.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.

Desirable:

  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Experience in assessing and verifying vocational qualifications.
  • Familiarity with integrating core skills such as Maths and English into vocational learning.
