My client is seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join their central HR team. This full-time, office-based role plays a vital role in supporting the employee life cycle across a Trust of schools. As a trusted advisor, you’ll provide high-quality HR guidance to Heads and staff, ensuring best practices and compliance in employee relations, performance management, and HR operations. You’ll also contribute to the development of HR systems, support key projects, and work collaboratively to drive consistent HR practices across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver first-line HR support
- Collaborate with the wider HR team to ensure consistent service
- Support improvement of HRIS and HR processes
- Provide employee relations support including disciplinary, capability and grievance casework
- Ensure HR compliance, including safer recruitment and safeguarding
- Monitor and report on staff absence
- Maintain up-to-date records and assist with policy and handbook updates
- Deliver performance management support, training and monitoring
Person Specification:
- CIPD Level 5
- School sector experience highly desired
- Proven experience in an HR advisory role with strong employee relations background
- High-level IT proficiency
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding, safer recruitment and education sector HR (desirable)
