As a Data Apprenticeship Tutor, you will deliver high-quality Level 4 Data apprenticeship programmes, supporting learners to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to succeed in their roles and achieve their qualification. This role combines teaching, coaching, and assessment, with a strong focus on learner outcomes, timely completions, and quality of delivery. You will work closely with both apprentices and their employers to ensure training is relevant, applied in the workplace, and aligned to apprenticeship standards. Prior experience delivering apprenticeships is essential, you’ll understand the full learner journey, from onboarding through to end-point assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, structured, and interactive Level 4 Data apprenticeship sessions (remote delivery).
- Tailor learning to suit individual learner needs, ensuring consistent progress and development.
- Coach and mentor apprentices to build confidence in applying data concepts within their roles.
- Work closely with employers and line managers to support workplace application and learner development.
- Embed safeguarding, Prevent, British Values, equality & diversity, and health & safety into delivery.
Assessment & Progress Monitoring
- Plan and manage the end-to-end assessment journey for each learner.
- Conduct regular progress reviews, setting clear targets and tracking development.
- Assess learner work, providing timely, constructive feedback aligned to apprenticeship standards.
- Support learners in gathering high-quality workplace evidence.
- Prepare learners for successful end-point assessment (EPA).
Quality of Teaching & Learning
- Deliver consistently high-quality teaching aligned with apprenticeship and awarding requirements.
- Adapt delivery based on learner feedback and performance data.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through standardisation and quality assurance processes.
Performance & KPIs
- Drive strong learner outcomes, including:
- Timely completions
- High achievement rates
- Positive learner satisfaction
Curriculum & Content Development
- Contribute to the development and improvement of training materials.
- Ensure content remains current, relevant, and aligned with industry best practice in data.
Key Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience delivering apprenticeships (end-to-end)
- Strong occupational competence in data (e.g. data analysis, data tools, reporting, or similar)
- Assessor qualification (e.g. TAQA, A1, D32/33) or willingness to achieve
- Teaching qualification (AET, PGCE, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards
- Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards, EPA process, and funding/compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, coaching, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage a remote caseload effectively
Desirable
- Experience delivering Level 4 Data programmes
- Experience with e-portfolio systems (e.g. OneFile, Smart Assessor)
- Knowledge of data tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python (or similar)
