We are recruiting two Employment Leads for a fast-growing, purpose-led training provider helping people gain practical skills, build confidence and move into sustainable employment. These are home-based roles with regular travel to training locations, employers and partner organisations.
The opportunity
You will support people who have completed short vocational training programmes to secure and sustain employment. Working with learners, employers and referral partners, you will combine individual coaching with practical job-search support and occasional group sessions. This is an autonomous role within an ambitious, evolving business.
What you'll be doing
- Manage a caseload of up to approximately 120 learners, providing tailored remote and face-to-face support.
- Help learners with CVs, applications, interview preparation, job searches and confidence building.
- Deliver employability workshops and build relationships with learners during their training.
- Develop employer relationships, identify vacancies and arrange introductions and interviews.
- Work with Jobcentres, community organisations and other referral partners to support enrolments and progression.
- Maintain accurate learner records, monitor employment outcomes and work towards performance targets.
- Travel to delivery sites and partner meetings, including occasional prison-based environments.
Who we're looking for
We are particularly interested in people with experience in employability, welfare-to-work, recruitment, careers guidance, employer engagement, charities or community support. Direct experience working with disadvantaged learners is welcome but not essential; transferable skills and attitude are equally important.
- An empathetic, resilient communicator who can build trust quickly.
- Confident supporting individuals one-to-one and speaking to small groups.
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing a busy caseload independently.
- Commercially aware enough to engage employers and turn opportunities into employment outcomes.
- Comfortable with travel, safeguarding responsibilities and accurate administration.
Package and working arrangements
Basic salary £25,000-£32,000 depending on experience, plus £20 for each qualifying verified employment outcome. Current team members typically earn approximately £200-£400 per month in bonus, with higher amounts possible during particularly busy periods. Home-based, with regular travel; reasonable business travel expenses are covered. We have one opportunity focused on Devon and another on Oxford / Thames Valley.
Interested?
If you enjoy helping people overcome barriers, thrive with autonomy and want to see the real-world impact of your work, we'd love to hear from you.
